Imagine the future 3 years from now, women are still marching in the street often pushing strollers or carrying babies on their chests. Those of us older women wave our signs and shout. We’re here to speak on behalf of the girls who are too young to understand why their Moms are so tired and sometimes cry in the night. Husbands, boyfriends, fathers (young and old) plus some allies from the LGBTQ community walk among us. It’s been good to have men stand up because they understand how much the world has changed for women. More men join us every weekend.
Project 2025 technically went into effect Jan. 20th but the Republicans couldn’t get their act together, as usual. That gave the first wave of protesters ample time to coordinate and prepare.
Never in our history has so many stood up for each other. People even started lining the streets early and cheering like at a Fourth of July parade. The biggest issue with the crowds is the MAGA taunting us. The hats help identify them but they’ve finally caught on and left them at home.
The biggest issue is women-hating gun waving idiots who threw things including rocks. We shield the children with our bodies. Bruises are frequent. Police barely tried to corral the angry men as they were there to punish the women protesters and protect the assholes’ free speech rights (which of course were more important than ours). Arrests weren’t made unless someone bled.
As we rounded the last corner, we started singing the Helen Reddy song, “We are Woman”. Famous voices actually made our anthem sound good.
This short scenario may be in our future. We all have to step up and educate voters to the potential horrors buried within the 1,000 plus pages of extreme “faux Christianity” that the right want to use to take away our rights and substitute God’s will and laws.
I know this sounds worse than any Netflix limited series and so preposterous that Americans will laugh and dismiss our warnings.
Not one single American will be safe from the tyranny that will befall us. It’s the perfect storm of money, power, domination and years of planning.
